2009 Yamaha FZ1 EX[edit | edit source]

2009 Yamaha FZ1 EX

The EX is yet another speciale trim of the 2009 MY Yamaha FZ1, but this one is focused on added protection elements in the key areas of the machine, the ones that are the most exposed in case of a crash. Obviously created for motorcyclists who enjoy to aggressively ride this naked beast around the track or for whom "canyon carving" is more of a middle name, the 2009 MY FZ1 EX will still look top-notch even after many thousands of miles.

A chin spoiler and belly pan, tank pad and multiple frame sliders have been installed to add supplemental protection to this mighty machine, but carefully choosing them also allowed Yamaha to actually improve the looks of the FZ1 instead of just adding some bulk.
