The Yamaha FZ1 Naked (Europe) was a liquid-cooled, 20-valve, DOHC, in-line four-cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 2006. Max torque was 78.19 ft/lbs (106.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 150.06 HP (111.9 KW) @ 11000 RPM.

A 76.2mm bore x 76.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6 Speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190-55-ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual 320mm floating discs w/4-piston calipers in the front and a 245mm disc w/single-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm telescopic fork w/adjustable preload, compression and rebound damping; 5.1 in. travel while the rear was equipped with a Single shock w/piggyback reservoir and adjustable preload, compression and rebound damping; 5.1 in. travel. The wheelbase was 57.52 inches (1461 mm) long.
2006 Yamaha FZ1 Naked (Europe)[edit | edit source]
The "FZ1 Naked" may sound a bit on the weird side for riders who know Yamaha's bikes, but if you look closely, the European version of the FZ1 is indeed benefiting from some additional weight shaving, as the lower panels in the front section have been tossed altogether. This move only makes the FZ1 even more aggressive and helps it live up to its R1-derived fame.
Add in 150 hp, massive high-end torque, an aggressive yet upright position and you've got the overkill urban slicer you can ride every day to work and even use for overnight trips with some luggage accessories.
