The bike has a 6 Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multiplate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 180/55-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x298mm Discs 4 Piston Calipers in the front and a Single Disc 2 Piston Caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Telescopic Fork Non Adjustable while the rear was equipped with a Swing Arm. The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.

The Yamaha FZ6-S2 models are equipped with a high specification lightweight swingarm, that has been developed in assaociation with the lightweight CF die cast aluminum frame.
