The Yamaha G5 was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Yamaha in 2007. Max torque was 0.59 ft/lbs (0.8 Nm) @ 7850 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 9.92 HP (7.4 KW) @ 5590 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 49.0mm bore x 56.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 106.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 4-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiple-disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork/ swing arm while the rear was equipped with a rectangular swing arm with hydraulic shock absorber. The G5 was fitted with a 3.43 Gallon (13.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 50.79 inches (1290 mm) long.
