The Yamaha SRX 250F was a Single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled Touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1984. Max torque was 16.96 ft/lbs (23.0 Nm) @ 8500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 17.03 HP (12.7 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves. The engine featured a 10.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90-16 front tire and a 100/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 2 piston caliper in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Centre axle 33mm forks while the rear was equipped with a Single shock, adjustable spring preload. The SRX250F was fitted with a 9 Liters / 2.3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 123 kg / 371 lbs.

The six-speed gearbox is sweet, the clutch light and the motor bursts into life with one half-hearted prod of the kick-start. The only thing it doesn’t do like a British classic, is leak oil.
