The Yamaha V-MAX (European Edition) was a Liquid cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, V-type 4-cyclinder Naked motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 2009. Max torque was 123.18 ft/lbs (167.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 199.95 HP (149.1 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1198.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5 speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual, hydraulic.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 R18M/C (59V) front tire and a 200/50 R18M/C (76V) rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual 320mm discs in the front and a 282mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 52mm telescopic fork w/air-assist while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks w/adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. The V-MAX (European Edition) was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 66.89 inches (1699 mm) long.
2009 Yamaha V-MAX (European Edition)[edit | edit source]
True to the original V-Max concept, the 2009 MY European Version retains the full drag bike DNA with premium streetability and massive styling, as well. The mighty V4 engine and shaft final transmission are in place, just like the huge amount of torque and power which make the V-Max a force to be reckoned with on the road.
Beefy 52mm forks are in a league of their own, while sport bike-derived brakes and new-generation ABS are also a must for dependable stopping power. Cue some styling upgrades for the new model year and prepare to hold on tight to the bars of the 2009 MY V-Max.
