The Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic was a Air-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve, 75°, V-twin Cruiser motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2000 and 2011. Max torque was 64.17 ft/lbs (87.0 Nm) @ 2500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1063.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5 speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 130/90-16 front tire and a 170/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual hydraulic disc, 298mm in the front and a Hydraulic disc, 282mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic 41mm fork while the rear was equipped with a Single shock; adjustable preload. The wheelbase was 64.8 inches (1646 mm) long.

The 1999 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic is the basic middleweight cruise which can be used for both daily commuting and longer hauls in weekends, but it will bot back off when it comes to a vacation, either. Low and reassuring even for ladies or riders with a shorter inseam, this machine provides enhanced ergonomics, thanks to its ample bars, sculpted seat, and floorboards.

Yamaha also added a lot of chromed parts, for a neat and tidy retro look which will turn heads wherever you may ride. The V-Star 1100 Classic is available in Onyx and Sparkle Maroon/Ivory.

It's fairly easy to tell the 2004 V-Star 1100 Classic apart from other similar machines, even from other V-Stars. Its deeply valanced fenders are eloquent enough, especially as they wrap around the 7-spoke cast wheels, creating a striking mixture of old-school styling and modern technology.

The hardtail looks are a good match for the shaft drive, while the chrome excess on the fork covers, upper triple and the handlebar clamps adds to the exquisite attire of the bike. However the Classic variation of the basic V-Star 1100 cruiser is a bike which will surely turn heads.
