The Amazonas A.M.E - 1600 cc was a four cylinder boxer, four-stroke standard produced by Amazonas in 1986. It could reach a top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h). Max torque was 73.76 ft/lbs (100.0 Nm) @ 3000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 54.85 HP (40.9 KW) @ 4000 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled four cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 85.0mm bore x 69.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1600.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 4-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 160-16 front tire and a 180-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. 2-piston calipers in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a forks while the rear was equipped with a wp - monoshock. The A.M.E - 1600 cc was fitted with a 10.57 Gallon (40.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 992.08 pounds (450.0 Kg).
