The BMW F 800 GS "30 Years GS" Special Model was a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, twin cylinder Adventure motorcycle produced by BMW in 2011. Max torque was 61.96 ft/lbs (84.0 Nm) @ 5750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 85.02 HP (63.4 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 798.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 150/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320 mm discs in the front and a single 240 mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 45 mm USD fork while the rear was equipped with a double sided aluminum swingarm, WAD strut. The wheelbase was 62.09 inches (1577 mm) long.

After being on the market for 30 years, the GS family from BMW has been enriched with special anniversary editions, that have all been painted in Alpine White, as well as fitted with three-colored decals in the livery of BMW Motorrad Motorsport of the eighties’ R 80 G/S Rally Raiders from the Paris-Dakar races. Such is the case of the 2011 MY BMW F 800 GS "30 Years GS" Special Model, also. Besides those features, the 800 GS has also received a "30 Years GS” model designation on the airbox cover, hand protectors, an aluminum sump guard, a tinted windshield, white direction indicators, and a seat in red with “GS” stamp.

In the tech/engine department, it sports the same engine and technologies found on the base model.
