The bike has a gear transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multi-plate, hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm fully-adjustable Showa upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Showa adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The 749 Martini was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.

The Ducati 749 Martini is a special edition machine, that boasts a special paint scheme designed in collaboration with the famous vermouth brand. It shares its specs with the base Ducati 749, but has a black, leather rider seat, and a white, leather passenger seat.
In the engine department it sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 748cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, that can reach a maximum power output of 107 horsepower and 82 Nm of torque.
