The Honda V65 / VF1100S Sabre was a Liquid cooled, four stroke, 90 degrees V-four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Honda in 1984. Max torque was 69.33 ft/lbs (94.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 120.96 HP (90.2 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1098.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/90-18 front tire and a 140/90-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual discs in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm air assisted forks while the rear was equipped with a Single air adjustable shock.

After the V45 Magna Sabre and the Magna V65 had been introduced, there was the time for the V65 Sabre, an 1100cc V-Four. This bike, Honda's first 150mph production machine, had the same design as the V45, but on a larger scale.
