The Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD was a twin, four-stroke Cruiser motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1999 and 2010. Max torque was 33.19 ft/lbs (45.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 74.0mm bore x 58.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the hydraulic release.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 140/90-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm hydraulic fork / 5.9 in. while the rear was equipped with a dual hydraulic shocks with five-way adjustable spring preload / 3.9 in.. The Vulcan 500 LTD was fitted with a 4.0 Gallon (15.14 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 472.01 pounds (214.1 Kg). The wheelbase was 62.8 inches (1595 mm) long.
