The Kawasaki ZL 400 was a Four stroke parallel twin cylinder, SOHC Cruiser motorcycle produced by Kawasaki in 1987. Max torque was 24.34 ft/lbs (33.0 Nm) @ 10500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 54.04 HP (40.3 KW) @ 12000 RPM.

A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 398.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 150/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc in the front and a Single disc in the rear.

Even if the first Eliminator bike was produced in 1985, Kawasaki launched multiple different ZL models depending on their displacement: 1000cc, 600cc, 500cc, 400cc.
