A 60.0mm bore x 44.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 130/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a monoshock. The 125 RT was fitted with a 3.57 Gallon (13.50 Liters) fuel tank. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 15 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque.
This machine boasts standard features such as cast-aluminum wheels, a front and rear disc braking system, a Marzocchi telescopic front fork, a WP adjustable rear monoshock, a blacked-out frame, an exhaust system with a chromed muffler and a dual seat.
2009 MZ RT 125 Striker[edit | edit source]
The 2009 MY MZ RT 125 Striker sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 15 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque. This two-wheeler is suitable for novice riders, and comes standard with a Marzocchi upside-down fork, a WP monoshock in the rear, a front and rear disc brake, blacked-out components, such as the rims, the fork sliding tube or the flat handlebars, and a special, orange and black dual paint scheme which sets it apart from the base RT 125.
