The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, 72° V Twin, belt driven single cam operating pushrod 2 valve per cylinder. The engine featured a 11.0:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 3.50 - 18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 230mm disc in the front and a Single 136mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 35mm Marzocchi forks 150mm travel while the rear was equipped with a Marzocchi shocks 150mm wheel travel. The 400S was fitted with a 15 Liters / 3.9 US gal fuel tank.
