The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the custom wet-type slipper clutch by stm for ncr.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 180/55-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. wave braking-ncr, radial brembo racing monoblock with billet ncr fork bottoms. in the front and a single disc. wave braking-ncr, brembo racng 2 piston. in the rear. The front suspension was a showa original oem fork with ohlins-ncr internal damping systems. ncr fork bottoms from billet with 100 mm spacing. triple clamps made from al 7075 with adjustable offset from 28 to 36 mm in 1 mm increments. while the rear was equipped with a ohlins ttx tuned by ncr. The 848 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 341.72 pounds (155.0 Kg).
