The Harley-Davidson EL was a v2, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Harley-Davidson between 1948 and 1952.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 88.9mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 999.7 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 3-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the mulitplate, dry.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 5.00-16 front tire and a 5.00-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a spring forks while the rear was equipped with a hardtail. The EL was fitted with a 3.75 Gallon (14.19 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 551.16 pounds (250.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.49 inches (1511 mm) long.
