The MZ 1000 ST was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by MZ in 2006. Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 115.06 HP (85.8 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

Engine

A 96.5mm bore x 96.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 999.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 243mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock.

The 2006 MY MZ 1000 ST has been designed by the German engineers for the adrenaline junkies among MZ fans, but who still want to spend more time in the saddle, and tackle longer hauls. It come standard withe a rear trunk, side panniers, a more comfortable riding position, and improved ergonomics, to maximize the riding pleasure of the rider.

In the tech/engine department, it boasts a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, parallel twin cylinder powerplant paired to a six-speed manual tranmsission, and can produce a claimed 115 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque.
