Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 72.9mm bore x 72.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 937.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 170/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Telescopic Forks while the rear was equipped with a Single Shock. The RF900R was fitted with a 5.55 Gallon (21.00 Liters) fuel tank.
