The XR650L'93 was sold in 1993 and was available in one color scheme: Shasta White with Rainbow Blue. The brochures said it was "essentially a street-legal XR600R." It had an electric starter and XR600-spec suspension. The engine was a 644cc SOHC RFVC dry sump single cylinder linked to a 5-speed transmission. The serial number began JH2RD060*PM000004

The XR650L'94 was sold in 1994 and was available in one color scheme: Shasta White with Capri Blue. The gas tank had a redesigned logo so that the "XR" was blue outlined in red and the "HONDA" was red. The "650L" logo on the seat was also redesigned. The engine was a 644cc SOHC RFVC dry sump single cylinder linked to a 5-speed transmission. The serial number began JH2RD060*RM100007
