It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 120/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 280mm discs 2 piston calipers in the front and a single 280mm disc 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi oil damped telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a swinging arm with dual Marzocchi shocks 5-way preload adjustable.

The 1985 MY Laverda RGA 1000 is one of the most exclusive machines ever to be designed by the Italian brand, being produced in only 50 units. It is based on its RGS sibling, and comes standard with features such as the Marzocchi oil-damped telescopic forks, dual Marzocchi, five-way adjustable, shocks as a rear suspension, and Brembo dual 280mm brake discs in the front and a single 280mm disc in the rear.
At its heart lies an air-cooled, four-stroke, 981cc, parallel three cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce 83 horsepower and 78 Nm of torque.
