The Royal Enfield THUNDERBIRD 500 was a Single cylinder, four stroke, Twinspark, air-cooled Classic motorcycle produced by Royal Enfield in 2016. Max torque was 30.24 ft/lbs (41.0 Nm) @ 4000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 27.22 HP (20.3 KW) @ 5250 RPM.

A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-Speed Constant Mesh transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90-19 front tire and a 120/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 280mm Disc, 2-Piston caliper in the front and a 240mm Disc, Single piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks 41mm, 130mm travel while the rear was equipped with a Twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload, 80mm travel. The wheelbase was 53.11 inches (1349 mm) long.
