The Moto Morini 500 Turbo was a Twin cylinders, 4 stroke, turbocharged Concept motorcycle produced by Moto Morini in 1982. Max torque was 47.94 ft/lbs (65.0 Nm) @ 5600 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 70.0 HP (52.2 KW) @ 8300 RPM.

A 68.6mm bore x 68.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 478.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90 V18 front tire and a 120/90 V18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 260mm in the front and a Single disc 260mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telehydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a Adjustable gas charged shocks. The wheelbase was 57.09 inches (1450 mm) long.

There's still one more unique feature on the Morini turbo. A wastegate control. Lambertini was not content with a conventional springloaded wastegate which opens when exhaust pressure reaches a pre/set level and bleeds off the excess, thus limiting turbine speed and so preventing boost rising to dangerous levels. So yet another electromechanical control was added.
