Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 107.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1187.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiple-plate clutch in oil bath with antiskipping system and radial master-cylinder.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/80-r19 front tire and a 180/55-r17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. brembo, 2-piston caliper in the front and a single disc. brembo in the rear. The front suspension was a marzocchi upside down while the rear was equipped with a öhlins mono-shock-absorber on the side. The Granpasso 1200 was fitted with a 7.13 Gallon (27.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 462.97 pounds (210.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.27 inches (1480 mm) long.

The Moto Morini Granpasso 1200 is a sporty looking motorcycle designed with agility and lightness in mind. The motorcycle’s backbone is represented by a strong trellis frame which is combined with a similarly strong 120 hp V twin oversquare engine. The frame is backed up by excellent suspensions. At front is a sturdy Marzocchi Magnum with 50 mmdiameter upside down legs, with plates in a cast light alloy. The rear features a weighty twin swing arm shaped by hydroforming, an innovative construction technology using the deforming capacity of hydraulic pressure to enable production of non-welded pieces.
