The Ducati Hypermotard 796 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder Supermotard motorcycle produced by Ducati between 2010 and 2012. Max torque was 55.32 ft/lbs (75.0 Nm) @ 6250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 81.0 HP (60.4 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder. A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 803.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the APTC wet multiplate with hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 160/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 305mm discs, 4-piston calipers, Brembo in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage. The Hypermotard 796 was fitted with a 3.28 Gallon (12.40 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 368.17 pounds (167.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.28 inches (1455 mm) long.
