The Suzuki RM100 was a Air-cooled Single Cylinder Two-stroke, Reed Valve Trial motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1979 and 2003. Max torque was 10.33 ft/lbs (14.0 Nm) @ 10500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 52.97 HP (39.5 KW) @ 11500 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled Air-cooled Single Cylinder Two-stroke, Reed Valve. A 52.5mm bore x 45.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 98.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.
Chassis
It came with a 70/100-19 42M front tire and a 90/100-16 52M rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single Hydraulic Disc in the front and a Single Hydraulic Disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Inverted, Leading Axle, 18-way Adjustable Compression Damping while the rear was equipped with a Link-type, Fully-adj. Spring Preload, 4-way Adjustable Rebound Damping, 16-way Adjustable Rebound Damping. The RM100 was fitted with a 1.45 Gallon (5.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 149.91 pounds (68.0 Kg). 1979 Suzuki RM100
The reliable two-stroke engine produces smooth power at any rpm with an emphasis on low to mid-range performance. Just like its larger RM-Z cousins, the RM100 delivers class-leading handling for both experienced racers and rookie riders alike. The letters "RM" stand for "Racing Model" and the motorcycles produced with this prefix in their model names are suited to use in motocross racing.
2003 Suzuki RM100
The first Moto-Cross machine from Suzuki to bear the name RM100 was launched back in 1978, and followed the standard format set out by the successful RM (racing model) models of that time. The 98cc piston and reed valve engine was air-cooled and produced a high 19.5hp @ 10,500 rpm. The machine though was closer to a 125 in dimensions and weight weighing 87kg.
