The Honda CB650SC is a motorcycle produced by Honda from 1982 to 1985, more commonly known as the Nighthawk 650. It could reach a top speed of 122 mph / 196 km/h.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a Air/oil cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 2 valves per cylinder.. The engine featured a 9.5:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90 -19 front tire and a 130/90 -16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 275mm discs 2 piston calipers in the front and a 180mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa air-spring, 39mm stanchion tube diameter, brake-actuated hydraulic anti-dive while the rear was equipped with a Dual Showa shocks, 5-way adjustable spring preload, 4-way adjustable rebound damping. The CB650SC Nighthawk was fitted with a 13.5 Liters / 3.4 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 205 kg / 451 lbs. The wheelbase was 1457 mm / 57.8 in long.

The CB650SC'82 Nighthawk 650 was sold in 1982 in Candy Flair Blue or Cosmo Black Metallic. The headlight and instruments were round. The frame color was the basic color (blue or black). The stripe was chrome. The exhaust was a 4-into-4. The clutch was cable operated. The valve adjusters were screen-type. The drive train was chain driven. The engine was a 627cc SOHC 2-valve inline four cylinder linked to a 5-speed transmission. The serial number began JH2RC080*CM000013.

The CB650SC'83 Nighthawk 650 was sold in 1983 in one of two colors: Pearl Siren Blue or Candy Wineberry Red. The headlight and instruments were rectangular. The exhaust system was a 4-into-2. The forks had the "TRAC" anti-dive system. The emblem was located above the axle. The speedometer numbers were marked in increments of 10 (i.e, 10, 20, 30, 40, etc.). The engine used hydraulic valve adjusters and clutch.
