The Honda CB500 was a four-cylinder-inline, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Honda between 1971 and 1973. It was similarly styled to the CB750K, but smaller and lighter, with an output of 50 hp and a manufacturer's specified top speed of 102 mph. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 8600 RPM. It was produced until 1973 with minor revisions each year. In 1974 it was replaced by the CB550K.


Engine[edit]

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 67.0mm bore x 66.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 471.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
