It was similarly styled to the CB750K, but smaller and lighter, with an output of 50 hp and a manufacturer's specified top speed of 102 mph. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 8600 RPM. It was produced until 1973 with minor revisions each year. In 1974 it was replaced by the CB550K.
