The BMW R 6 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, twin cylinder, side valve Classic motorcycle produced by BMW in 1938. Claimed horsepower was 17.97 HP (13.4 KW) @ 4500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 600.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 4-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00 x 19 front tire and a 3.50 x 19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 200mm drum in the front and a 200mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a hard-tail, sprung seat. The R 6 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.
