The BMW K75S was an inline three cylinder, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by BMW between 1985 and 1995. It could reach a top speed of 124 mph (199 km/h). Max torque was 49.2 ft/lbs (66.7 Nm) @ 6750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 73.35 HP (54.7 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

The K75s is one of the sporty version of the BMW triple "the flying brick". The engine has a characteristic high pitched whine at idle known as "K bike whine". The engine is smooth as butter and plenty of power throughout the range regardless any RPM. The power curve is amazing flat and consistent and is hardly any engine vibration. It has good amount of torque at lower RPMs and plenty of power up at the high RPMs as well. BMW really did a great job on this bike.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line three, four-stroke. A 67.0mm bore x 70.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 740.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the single, dry plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 130/90-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork with hydraulic shock absorber while the rear was equipped with a Monolover swinging arm. The K75S was fitted with a 5.55 Gallon (21.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 504.86 pounds (229.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.69 inches (1516 mm) long.
