The BMW F 650 GS was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by BMW between 1994 and 2013. It could reach a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). Max torque was 59.01 ft/lbs (80.0 Nm) @ 5700 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 85.02 HP (63.4 KW) @ 7500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 798.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90 - 21 54V front tire and a 150/70 - 17 69V rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 300mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 265mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Marzocchi upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable mono-shock. The F 650 GS was fitted with a 4.23 Gallon (16.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 405.65 pounds (184.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 62.01 inches (1575 mm) long.

It comes standard with features such as the single-wall stainless steel exhaust pipes and lace-spoked wheels. The suspension system, composed of a 41mm telescopic fork and a pre-load adjustable monoshock rear, ensures a plush and agile ride, whether on a paved road or a off-road track.
Optional features such as the ABS-N, hand protectors and heated grips, not only make for a safer ride, but a more comfortable one, as well.

The 2002 MY BMW F 650 GS Dakar boasts a maximum power output of 50 horsepower and 60 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 652cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a five-speed manual transmission. It also comes with a special, race-inspired, paint scheme, laced wheels with off-road tires, a 41mm telescopic fork with a stabilizer bridge, a continuously adjustable mono-shock in the rear, front and rear disc brakes, a dual seat, a windscreen, a rear luggage rack and an under-belly to under-seat exhaust system.
