The BMW R1150RT was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke Touring motorcycle produced by BMW between 2001 and 2005. It could reach a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). Max torque was 73.76 ft/lbs (100.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 91.86 HP (68.5 KW) @ 7250 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a oil & air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 101.0mm bore x 70.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1130.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the single-disc dry clutch, hydraulically operated.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 170/60-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a double disc in the rear. The front suspension was a bmw motorrad telelever while the rear was equipped with a die-cast aluminum single-sided swinging arm with bmw motorrad paralever. The R1150RT was fitted with a 6.66 Gallon (25.20 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 562.4 pounds (255.1 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.46 inches (1485 mm) long.

The 2002 MY BMW R 1100 RT comes with side panniers, a full-fairing with an adjustable windshield, dual front disc brakes, an analogue and digital instrumentation panel, a dual seat, a rear luggage rack, passenger grab handles, a BMW Motorrad Telelever front suspension and a BMW Motorrad Paralever rear suspension, die-cast aluminum wheels, and a chromed exhaust muffler.

In the engine department it sports an air/oil-cooled, four-stroke, 1130cc, boxer two cylinder powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a shaft final drive that can produce a claimed 95 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque.

The House of Munich has designed the 2003 MY BMW R 1100 RT for those riders who want to spend more time in the saddle, whether solo or two-up. It boasts a maximum power output of 95 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque from its four-stroke, air/oil-cooled, 1130cc, boxer two cylinder powerhouse that is paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a shaft final drive.

It also comes with side panniers, a full-fairing with an adjustable windshield, dual front disc brakes, an analogue and digital instrumentation panel, a dual seat, a rear luggage rack, passenger grab handles, a BMW Motorrad Telelever front suspension and a BMW Motorrad Paralever rear suspension, die-cast aluminum wheels, and a chromed exhaust muffler.

In addition, a maximum power output of 95 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque is achieved by its four-stroke, air/oil-cooled, 1130cc, boxer twin cylinder engine that was mated to a five-speed manual transmission with an easy-to-maintain shaft final drive.
