The BMW K1200LT was a in-line four, four-stroke Touring motorcycle produced by BMW between 1998 and 2011. It could reach a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). Max torque was 88.51 ft/lbs (120.0 Nm) @ 5250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 113.58 HP (84.7 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 70.5mm bore x 75.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1171.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the single dry plate clutch, hydraulically operated.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 160/70-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs, 4-piston fixed calipers in the front and a single disc. four-piston fixed caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a bmw motorrad telelever while the rear was equipped with a cast aluminum single-sided swing arm with bmw motorrad paralever. The K1200LT was fitted with a 6.34 Gallon (24.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 779.33 pounds (353.5 Kg). The wheelbase was 64.06 inches (1627 mm) long.
