The BMW K1200RS was an inline four cylinder, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by BMW between 1997 and 2005. It could reach a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h). Max torque was 86.3 ft/lbs (117.0 Nm) @ 6750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 126.06 HP (94.0 KW) @ 8750 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 70.5mm bore x 75.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1171.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the single-disc dry clutch, hydraulically operated.
